NEW IV Model for 2007
VERTEX IV by Haglöf
Accurate height, distance and horizontal distance measuring in the field. The Vertex also acquires accurate readings in thick undergrowth and measures an unlimited number of heights per object from any distance up to 30 meters/yds or longer.

Small and robust, the Vertex IV has aluminum housing, sealed electronics and a large, easy-to-read alphanumerical display. A built-in tilt sensor allow for exact height measuring in slopes or on hills. Easy calibration and built-in infrared or Bluetooth transmitter for direct transfer of measuring results for external storage and processing (computer caliper, field computer).

Haglöf VERTEX IV Details
The Vertex uses ultrasound to measure distances. Unlike, for example, measuring tapes and laser instruments, ultrasound can be used also when there is no clear sight to the reference point. The ultrasound chooses the shortest way around any obstacle such as brush and stems.

Heights are calculated trigonometrically using the variables contained when measuring angle and distance. The Vertex automatically assumes that the measuring object is perpendicularly positioned to the ground.

The Transponder T3 is used together with the Vertex Instrument, the Vertex Laser or the DME. The T3 is water resistant, rugged and has a simple construction in a bright, visible colour. Works with one AA battery.

Easily attach to belt with clip holster. Pin transponder directly on the tree stem or fasten with adapter on the light weight plot staff for circular measuring.
