Fieldranger Hip-Chain The Fieldranger has a 6000 meter thread capacity for trouble free long range measuring. The rugged plastic case has strong metal hinges and hardware. A large window is bolted-in for checking how much thread is left. The counting mechanism is mounted on the top for easy viewing. It is sealed away from dust and moisture by internal baffles and a silicone rubber cover over the reset button. Te-loading is easy with this design. The correct pattern is printed inside the top. The thread passes through a tensioning mechanism to stretch it before measurement providing accuracy of 99.5%.
